I ve been working on this, dropping it, then picking it up again over two years. I wanted to depict the sheer joy of a mother and child, locked in each other, without fear of how they look, without threat, without fear of the outside world.
In a world ridden with wars, this image is almost utopic, as women and children are easy victims.

Maybe one day, we will be able to sit in the woods, naked, lifting our babies in the sun.
